- The main issues that were highlighted were concerning the technical features and authenticity of our conecpt.
- The main technical issue selected was lighting. We may face issues with this as our scene demands us to shoot at dusk to help us create atmosphere. Our initial response to this was that we would practise all of our shots before filming for real, so that there would be no doubt or time wasting when it comes to shooting. However we still could face lighting issues due to weather or unexpected distractions and so it was suggested that we make use of subtle forms of lighting, such as torches and candles hidden out of shot, but enough to iluminate the frame.
- We were asked how we planned to pull of the scare effectively, something which is in actual fact very difficult. Our method for achieving this is to build a crescendo in terms of the jump, so we will subtly build up the sequence, hinting at a paranormal presence through unexplained sounds a movements, the final revelation.
- What was encouraging for us was the positive feedback we recieved. Our off the beaten track location proved to be very popular and excitng, and the selection of characters in our narrative were also highlighted to be very well considered.
- The inclusion of props like the scrapbook were key features that helped us to stand out, as we explained how they would add to the suspense.
- Over all, the pitch was an extremely valuble piece of planning, as it was a result of all of the research we had done and showed what influenced us in selecting our genre and then developing our concept. The largely positive feedback reflected our hard work and has given us confidence going into production.
