Group. Reflection on initial shoot.

Over the weekend beginning 17th January we attempted our first filming session at our location, carrying out the shots we had planned on our storyboard. During the filming day on Sunday, we encountered a number of issues which affected and prohibited the quality of our shots and the production as a whole.

There were some positives to be taken from the shoot, such as the framing, creative shot selection and camera angles which have helped to boost our visualisation for our production. However some of the struggles we had made a significant impact on the quality of the work we came out with. Lighting was our most challenging factor and towards the end of the shoot we actually ran out of enough light to produce effective shots, and so we had issues such as not being able to see our characters and unwanted spot lighting. This then had damaging effects to continuity when we came to start our editing process.

Below are examples of some of the shots we had trouble with;

We will be conducting another shoot this weekend commencing Friday 24th January.
