Group: Preliminary Task Feedback

Further Feedback:

Strengths:
  • After further discussion in class and in our group, we found that our strengths lied in the creative side of the film making.
  • We thought the use of the manikin as a prop and the shot reverse shot were particularly effective to our narrative.
  • The reason for this effectiveness was our storyboard planning, and so we will aim to replicate in our final piece.
Targets for improvement:
  • We feel that we need to improve our editing technique, as there are some rough cuts and sloppy mistakes in this first preliminary.
  • We also needed to take more shots with several different camera angles and techniques to give ourselves a bigger range to choose from when we come to editing our next work.
  • Continuity errors on location like lighting also affect the quality of this piece, so that is another condition we will need to control during the production of our final piece.
Wilderness Woods reccie:
  • Our reccie at Wilderness Woods was a very helpful task, as it enabled us to plan out our shots.
  • This gave us the ability to see what worked well and what didn't, in a large area.
  • The reccie also allowed us to reference certain areas, to ensure that continuity would match up.
